Football  vs  the Glue-Bottle

When you put playing football head to head with glue sniffing, playing football becomes the clear winner.

This was proven over the weekend when close to 25 street children from Kiandutu village in Thika abandoned their glue bottles for a football match at the Lions Children’s Park in Thika.

This was the first event of its kind, and for once gave the street children a reason to forget hunger, street fights and other kinds of rivalries to share a rare breakfast, before heading to the field.

For the first time, the destitute kids got to learn about fair play, team work, respect, and tolerance – NGUVU Edu SPORT Programme’s core principles, and in a fun environment.
